MANKATO, Minn. — The University of Northwestern lost 2-0 in a conference matchup against Bethany Lutheran College Saturday afternoon.
Both teams remained scoreless in the first half. Bethany finally scored the first goal of the night as Jorge Perez scored off a penalty kick with 76:54 on the clock. A second Vikings goal came in the 87th minute by Kenny Johnson.
Northwestern outshot BLC 17-11, but Vikings had two more shots on goal.
Northwestern will host Hamline University on Monday night for a game under the light for a kickoff time of 7 p.m. UNW will travel to North Central University on Wednesday to resume conference play at 3 p.m. in Minneapolis.
