ST. PAUL — The University of Northwestern men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 loss to St. Olaf College Monday night. St. Olaf is ranked number one in the Midwest Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).
St. Olaf scored 10 minutes into the half with a goal from Jens Undlin, as the Oles double assisted with a well-placed cross to the left side. Kevin Skrip, the top scorer in the MIAC scored the second goal of the night with 19 minutes into the half. Aaron Stets kept the ball rolling for the Black and Gold with a third goal of the night with 26:05 on the board. Northwestern went into halftime with a 3-0 disadvantage.
The Eagles held off the Oles until 19 minutes remained in the second as Tylor Rosera knocked in the final goal of the night off an STO corner kick. Northwestern had a limited six shots with only one on goal for the night. St. Olaf had 16 shots with 10 on goal.
Turner Main (Kewaunee, Wis./Kewaunee) came away with five saves for the night.
Northwestern will travel to Ripon, Wisconsin on Thursday night for another non-conference matchup with a kickoff time of 4 p.m. The Eagles will host Crown College on Wednesday night at 7:15 p.m.
