Box Score ASHLAND, Wis. – Playing its first Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) games on the road this season, the University of Northwestern didn't need much time to dismantle Northland College 3-0. The Eagles posted a 40-15 advantage in kills en route to defeating the LumberJills 25-12, 25-10, 25-14.
Northwestern hit .500 as a team with just five reported errors on 70 attacks. Despite no Eagle netting double digit kills, all but one of its hitters recorded a kill as 13 UNW players saw action.
Cari Miller (West Des Moines, Iowa/Valley) and
Faith Vander Galien (Chanhassen, Minn./Southwest Christian) each had a Northwestern-high eight kills, helping
Lizzy Jonas (Neenah, Wis./Valley Christian ) get to 31 assists. Vander Galien had her hands on seven of the team's 11 blocks.

Northwestern, now 9-6 overall, will take its 4-0 league record to the north shore of Lake Superior for a 1 p.m. match against the College of St. Scholastica on Saturday to wrap up the weekend.
