Box Score MANKATO, Minn. – The University of Northwestern tied Bethany Lutheran College 0-0 in double overtime Saturday night. The scoreboard didn't show much but it was a busy night on the field for the Eagles as they out-shot Bethany Lutheran 20-3.
Joshua Fryc (Harris, Minn./Homeschool) was the first to build momentum for the visitors with a missed header that went just wide of the goal in the 12th minute. Four shots later,
Matthew McCann (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield) attempted a header in the 40th minute just before halftime hit, with both teams remaining scoreless even after the seven Eagle shots. Defensively,
Jordan Salm (Cleveland, Wis./Sheboygan North) had two saves for the Eagles in comparison to Bethany Lutheran's four by Matt Bitter.
