Box Score COON RAPIDS, Minn. – The Northwestern College men's soccer team continued its trend of stringing goals together quickly in the Eagle's Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) win over host North Central University on Friday. NWC capitalized upon two first half scoring plays and added another in the second 45 minutes of play to end the contest with a 3-0 win.
The visiting team wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as
Micah Mogler (Mendota Heights, Minn./LCA) notched his first goal in a Northwestern uniform after receiving a
Mark Habeck (Winona, Minn./Winona) assist 1:50 into the game. Just 36 seconds later the Purple and Gold struck again, this time with
Sean Taylor (Sydney, Australia /Kenosha Christian Life ) putting the ball past the North Central goalkeeper to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead.
NWC tallied its final goal of the game when a
Gustavo Aguilar-Castro (San Luis Potosí, Mexico /Eagan) shot was successful less than 15 minutes into the second period. Defensively,
Eric Bocan (Anoka, Minn./Meadow Creek) marshaled the back line for the Eagles and earned a shutout in the victory.

After a quick night of rest, Northwestern (6-5-1 overall, 4-2-1 UMAC) will turn the tables and host North Central in a 12 p.m. contest at Reynolds Field tomorrow.
