Men's Soccer accepts 0-0 tie against Bethel

Box Score ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- Northwestern College and Bethel University battled it out on the soccer pitch on Monday afternoon, but neither team scored a goal in the 0-0 double overtime finish. The Eagles got 19 shots off in the game, eight of which were on goal, but none of them got past the Royals' goalkeeper Leif Sundberg.

Eric Bocan (Anoka, Minn./Meadow Creek) (Anoka, Minn./Meadow Creek) posted four saves for the shutout for Northwestern, stopping everything that came his way in the 110 minutes of action. Sam Mann (Woodbury, Minn./St. Paul Central) (Woodbury, Minn./St. Paul Central), who scored three of Northwestern's four goals last week, had six shots on the day.

NWC nipped Bethel in corner kicks, 4-3.

The Eagles will return to UMAC action on Friday, September 30, when they host the College of St. Scholastica at Reynolds Field at 2 p.m.
