Northwestern owned one-shot advantages over the Pipers (1-2) in both shots and shots on goal, but it was Hamline's goal that found the back of the net. Eagles goalkeeper Eric Bocan (Anoka, Minn./Meadow Creek) (Anoka, Minn./Meadow Creek) had six saves in the game.

NWC (0-4) will play another nonconference game against North Central University on Friday before kickoff its UMAC schedule on Saturday against the University of Minnesota Morris.
