Men's Soccer on losing side of 1-0 score against Hamline

Box Score ST. PAUL -- The Northwestern men's soccer team dropped its fourth straight game on Saturday and its third by a margin of one goal as Hamline University defeated the Eagles 1-0. Greg Northrop's goal at the 9:10 mark was the difference-maker, as his shot, which was assisted by Ibou Wone,

Northwestern owned one-shot advantages over the Pipers (1-2) in both shots and shots on goal, but it was Hamline's goal that found the back of the net. Eagles goalkeeper Eric Bocan (Anoka, Minn./Meadow Creek) (Anoka, Minn./Meadow Creek) had six saves in the game.

NWC (0-4) will play another nonconference game against North Central University on Friday before kickoff its UMAC schedule on Saturday against the University of Minnesota Morris. Friday's contest is at Reynolds Field at 3 p.m., while Saturday's match will be at 5 p.m. at Mounds View High School in Arden Hills, Minn.
