Defensively, Greta King (Willmar, Minn./Willmar) (Willmar, Minn./Willmar) had a match-high 15 digs for the Eagles, while Kelsey Korporal (Sumner, Iowa/Sumner-Fredericksburg) (Sumner, Iowa/Sumner-Fredericksburg) chipped in nine digs. Danielle Rhodes (Iowa City, Iowa/City) (Iowa City, Iowa/City) and Sandstrom combined for nine assisted blocks as NWC held Morris to a -.009 attacking percentage. Northwestern finished with six kills on the night, two of which came from King and Korporal.

Against Waldorf, the Eagles posted their best hitting percentage to date this season, landing 41 kills for a .380 mark as Northwestern easily won 3-0 (25-10, 25-20, 25-9). 11 players saw the court in the three sets, including Courtney Jonas (Neenah, Wis./Valley Christian) (Neenah, Wis./Valley Christian) and Sandstrom, who led the team with 10 kills apiece. Both Jonas and Sandstrom hit over .470 in the match.

Kostek, who needed 20 assists against Waldorf, was joined by Krista Stoltz (Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial) (Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial) who had a career-high 14 assists in her freshman campaign. King led both teams in digs with 14, while Korporal chipped in 11. As a team, Northwestern amassed 10 blocks, four of which came from Sandstrom's hands.

With the pair of wins, Northwestern moves over the .500 hump for the first time this season at 10-9 (3-0 UMAC). The Eagles will have a chance to improve on that mark in less than 24 hours as Presentation College and Macalester College come to the Ericksen Center for another triangular. NWC will play Presentation first in a 3 p.m. matinee before facing Macalester 30 minutes after the Scots' battle with the Saints concludes.
