ST. PAUL – Northwestern College scored a goal in each of the two halves in Friday afternoon's matchup with Northland College to beat the LumberJacks 2-0 at Reynolds Field. With the win, the Eagles improve to 9-8-2 on the season (8-4-1 UMAC).

Jeremy Stiner (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake) (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake) returned from a one-game suspension to add an insurance goal for the Eagles. Athman got in on the action as well as he assisted on the play.
Josh Niedermayer (Oconomowoc, Wis./Kettle Moraine) (Oconomowoc, Wis./Kettle Morraine) worked 84 minutes and change to earn the win, posting one save on the day.
Kenny Francis (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) also saw time in between the pipes.
Northwestern out-shot Northland 21-1 in the game while owning a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Eagles will welcome the College of St. Scholastica to Reynolds Field on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 12 p.m. before learning their fate in the UMAC Tournament, which is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
