ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—The Northwestern College men's soccer team continues to look for its first win, as the Eagles were defeated by the Bethel University Royals on a Labor Day matinee. Bethel would hand Northwestern a 3-0 loss on the Eagles' third game in four days.

The Royals' attack came early, as David Swenson scored at the 14:56 mark. NWC continued to fight until giving up the second goal to Bethel's Brian Holm in the 71st minute. The Royals would then add a second insurance goal at the 87:17 mark, as Brent Neihart booted in BU's third goal of the day.

Throughout the game, Northwestern gave themselves equal opportunities to score on the home team, tallying 12 shots compared to the Royals 15.

The Eagles (0-4) wrap up their four-games-in-five-days stretch on Tuesday, Sep. 8 when they play Hamline University. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
