ST. PAUL -- Northwestern College football players
Zach Tarter (Crystal Falls, Mich./Forest Park High School) (Crystal Falls, Mich./Forest Park) and
Kyle Thomforde (Northfield, Minn./Northfield High School) (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) were featured in Friday's edition of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Tarter was mentioned for his record-setting day last Saturday, as the senior became the all-time career leader in completions (453) and passing yards (6,419) by completing 20 of 29 passes for 301 yards in the Eagles' 44-27 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran.
Thomforde also had a career day, besting the previous all-time school record for receiving yards. Thomforde, also a senior, surpassed Josh Lundeen's mark of 2,382 yards as he caught six passes for 79 yards in the Eagles win.

Northwestern faces Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa on Saturday for a 1 p.m. showdown. The Eagles will look to avenge last year's 9-6 loss to Simpson on a rainy day at Reynolds Field.
