MANKATO, Minn. – The Northwestern College softball team went 1-1 on Day 1 of the UMAC conference tournament on Friday, losing a close 6-5 game to Northland College before defeating the University of Minnesota, Morris 10-2.

A four-run fifth frame gave Northwestern the lead after losing 2-1. Junior Amanda Rodgers (Monticello, Minn./Monticello) (Monticello, Minn./Monticello) fueled the Eagles' offense, as she hit a two-run home run over the left field fence.
