Gabrielle Webster returns for her 2nd school year as Assistant Director of Athletic Operations and External Relations in 2024-25 and adds Volleyball Volunteer Assistant Coach to her resume in 2024.
The position is sponsored though the NCAA's Ethnic Minorities and Women's Internship Grant, which is designed to provide financial assistance to the division's member schools and conferences that are committed to enhancing ethnic minority and gender representation in entry-level, intercollegiate athletics administrative positions.
Webster is a Northwestern alumna and former volleyball student-athlete. In her four years playing for the Eagles, Webster helped her team win both the UMAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships every year. As a senior in 2022, she helped her team reach the NCAA Final Four for the second time in program history. A three-time UMAC All-Conference outside hitter, Webster finished her career with 1,139 digs, 863 kills, 101 total blocks, and 71 service aces.
In May of 2023, Webster graduated from Northwestern with her Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology-Sport Management with a concentration in Marketing. As an Eagle, she earned three UMAC Academic All-Conference awards, two NCCAA Scholar-Athlete honors, and was named CSC Academic All-District in 2022.
While earning her degree and playing volleyball, Webster also gained experience working in collegiate athletics as a student-worker in the Sports Information Department.
Webster also has experience with missions work. This past March, she joined the UNW Volleyball team on a missions trip to the Dominican Republic. "It was one of the best experiences of my life," said Webster. "It was so rewarding and humbling to be able to work with and love and serve people from a different country and culture that I didn't fully understand myself. It pushed me outside my comfort zone completely and taught me that there is so much beauty in the unknown and difficult things in life."
Outside of Northwestern, Webster has worked as a Volunteer Services Intern at the 2022 3M Open: a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, held at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine. She has also worked the last couple of years at Grace Church in Eden Prairie, helping with the daycare and serving as a substitute teacher at Grace Beginnings Preschool.
Webster currently resides in Burnsville with her husband, Gabriel.
