Tyrus Studer enters his 2nd year as an Assistant Coach for the University of Northwestern Men's and Women's Tennis programs in 2025.
Coach Studer played under Head Coach Matt Swigart at Northwestern from 2019-2022. The 2022 team he was on was the winningest Men's Tennis team in school history. Studer was also named UMAC All-Conference Honorable Mention that season, which was highlighted by a "golden match" win. A golden match win is achieved when a player does not allow their opponent to score a single point in the match.
Coach Studer was named to the UMAC All-Academic team three times in his career and was named UMAC Player of the Week in March of 2020. He was also a two-time captain of the Men's team (2021 and 2022).
Coach Studer graduated from Northwestern in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Marketing. He now lives in Arden Hills and works as a Social Media Manager.
