Keegan Vercoe enters his 3rd season as an assistant coach for the University of Northwestern Baseball team in 2025. Prior to joining the coaching staff, Vercoe played his final two collegiate seasons for Northwestern before graduating.
After transferring to UNW, Vercoe produced a decorated career at the plate in purple and gold. In his first season on campus (2021), he broke the program's single-season home run record with 13, and then broke it the following year with 17 blasts. In addition to single-season school records in RBI, runs and total bases, Vercoe's 30 career home runs are also a program best. He was named First Team All-UMAC in both seasons at Northwestern and earned UMAC Player of the Year honors in 2022. Vercoe was one of the many key players on the 2021 Eagles team that won the UMAC Tournament Championship for the first time since 1996 and came within a game of advancing to the NCAA DIII World Series.
When Coach Vercoe is not on the diamond, he lives in Shoreview, working as a data analyst in the healthcare field.
