LEXINGTON, Ky. - For the second-consecutive week, the University of Northwestern Volleyball team is creeping closer to being nationally ranked once again. In this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Top 25 Poll, Northwestern is among the highest teams receiving votes outside the top 25.

UNW comes in at 27th overall this week with 113 votes, up from 28th with 102 votes last week. The Eagles went 2-0 over the past week, earning sweeps over conference foes North Central and UW-Superior. UW-Oshkosh, who defeated Northwestern two weeks ago, remains at No. 1 in the poll, while Juniata, who UNW upset the same weekend is up to No. 5. Dubuque, who swept the Eagles in the Ericksen Center at the KTIS Classic, is up from 21 to 19 in this week's poll. Future Northwestern opponents St. Olaf and Gustavus Adolphus are both receiving votes this week, with the Oles dropping out of the top 25.
UNW's next match will be a big one as it travels to No. 3 UW-Eau Claire, who received a pair of first-place votes this week. First serve in Eau Claire is slated for 7:00 PM on Wednesday.
