GREENVILLE, S.C. - After a dominant week on the mound, Dreyer Homan (Clara City, Minn./MACCRAY) from the University of Northwestern Baseball team has been named Baseball Pitcher of the Week by the National Christian College Athletic Association. This is the first NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week award for Northwestern since December, and its 15th this school year.

The honor is well-deserved for Homan, who was lights out in his two conference starts last week. The senior threw 8.0 shutout innings Monday against Crown, scattering just five hits and striking out six. Saturday against Minnesota Morris, he was just as electric, throwing a complete game (eight innings) and striking out 11, while surrendering just six hits and two earned runs. His 33 strikeouts in conference play lead the UMAC by a wide margin, and his 54 strikeouts total this season are also most among conference teams.
