Eagles Entrenched in 'Receiving Votes' Category of AVCA Poll

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Top 25 Poll is out, and the University of Northwestern remains where it has been in every poll of the 2026 season: receiving votes.

A 2-1 week that included a pair of conference sweeps and a four-set loss at previously No. 3 UW-Eau Claire dropped the number of votes the Eagles received from 113 to 69, but they are still among the top five teams receiving votes outside the top 25. UW-Oshkosh, who swept UNW last month, remains in the top spot, while Eau Claire fell one spot to No. 4 this week after a road loss at Carthage. Juniata, whom Northwestern swept in St. Paul a few weeks back, dropped from fifth to sixth after its third loss of 2026, while Dubuque, who defeated the Eagles in the Ericksen Center at the KTIS Classic, continues to climb, coming in at No. 17 this week. Two squads UNW has swept this year, Bethel and UW-Platteville, are receiving votes this week, as are two future Northwestern opponents--St. Olaf and Gustavus Adolphus.

The Eagles will next be in action Saturday at 4:00 PM against Augsburg for their Homecoming match, where they will also honor the 2016 Final Four team on their Hall of Fame induction weekend.
