PR for Kephart In Second Meet for Men's Cross Country

COLD SPRING, Minn. - The University of Northwestern men's cross country team competed at the Toni St. Pierre Invitational, hosted by St. John's University, on Friday night. Tyler Dueber (Bloomington, Minn./Homeschool) crossed the finish line first for the Eagles, while Peter Kephart (Lake Nebagamon, Wis./Northwestern) notched his first PR of the 2025 season.

Dueber led the Eagles, charging across the finish in 36th place with a time of 17:27.3, setting the pace for the team. Freshman, Caleb Phillips (Poplar, Wis./South Shore) followed closely, with a time of 18:25.7 in 45th place, while Kephart shaved 20 seconds off his career best time, stopping the clock at 18:32.2. Owen Van De Riet (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville) took the line in 19:08.1, and Samuel Otis (Shoreview, Minn./Homeschool) closed the Eagle's group in 51st place, completing the race in 19:43.8.

The Eagles will look to build on these efforts in two weeks at the Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota, with the men scheduled to race on September 19, at 11:15 AM.
