GREENVILLE, S.C. - For the second-consecutive week, the University of Northwestern Men's Golf team can claim the best performance among all National Christian College Athletic Association schools. The NCCAA announced Monday that Luke Frazell (Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock) is the most-recent recipient of its Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week award after another stellar week to begin his collegiate career. He succeeds fellow freshman Carson Besonen (Madison, Minn./Lac qui Parle Valley), who won the honor last week.

Frazell played three rounds during the week, with the first two coming at the Firebird Fall Classic. The freshman posted a 74 (+2) in round one before firing a 68 (-4) in the final round, just one shot off the UNW program record, to finish in fifth place. Thursday at the UMAC Preview, Frazell helped the Eagles tie for first place as a team with a round of 73 (+1), one shot behind his winning teammate, Jakob Swanson (Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview). For the week, Frazell carded 12 birdies and an eagle.
