GILBERT, Ariz. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its 2025 academic awards on Wednesday, and the University of Northwestern Men's Tennis team was well-represented. In addition to six student-athletes being named ITA Scholar Athletes, the team was also recognized as one of 135 Division III men's programs to receive ITA All-Academic Team recognition.

Ian Barber (Worthington, Minn./Worthington),
Griffen Jarchow (Luverne, Minn./Luverne),
Caleb Jergenson (Livingston, Mont./Park),
Sam Kettelhut (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View),
Sam Majerus (River Falls, Wis./River Falls) and
Isaac Thomforde (Crookston, Minn./Crookston) were the six Eagles that were named ITA Scholar Athletes. To qualify as a Scholar Athlete, student-athletes must finish the academic year with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. ITA All-Academic Teams must have a team GPA of at least 3.2 for the academic year they are competing in.
