ST. PAUL, Minn. - Another good week on the court for Japheth Nyamari (Anoka, Minn./Anoka) has caught the attention of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, as the University of Northwestern Men's Basketball start was named UMAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

Nyamari averaged 20 points and 6.5 rebounds per game over two contests, which was actually a lower output than the previous week's numbers in which he did not win the award. The senior's 25.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this season rank first and sixth in the conference, respectively. This is the first time in his career that the Anoka native has won the award, despite six outings of 30+ points in his career.

Nyamari and the Eagles will host St. Scholastica on Tuesday night at 7:00 PM before Thanksgiving break commences.
