GREENVILLE, S.C. - After an impressive week on the court and a big milestone reached, the University of Northwestern's Marley Aune (New Brighton, Minn./Avail Academy) was named DI Women's Volleyball Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week by the National Christian College Athletic Association on Monday.

This marks the third time this season that Aune has won the weekly honor and the fifth time of her career. The senior racked up 13 blocks (1.44 per set) on the week, including the 500th of her career, which took place during her Senior Night game against North Central. She is only the fourth Eagle to ever reach that mark. The 2023 AVCA Third Team All-American also totaled 25 kills (on .430 hitting), four aces and five digs in UNW's three conference sweeps on the week. Her 1.33 blocks per set rank first in the UMAC, second in the NCCAA, and sixth in NCAA Division III.

Aune and the Eagles will play their final regular season home game of the season on Wednesday, October 29th at 7:00 PM against Saint Benedict.
