ST. PAUL, Minn. -
Gideon Cruver's (Fayetteville, Ga./Landmark Christian) big game at the University of Minnesota Morris did not go unnoticed. The University of Northwestern linebacker was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday after exploding for four tackles-for-loss, two sacks and a forced fumble in Saturday's 21-3 win over the Cougars.

Cruver is the seventh Eagles all-time to earn the honor and the first since
Beau Burk (Ogilvie, Minn./Ogilvie) in 2022. He is the second UNW linebacker among the honorees, joining Damon Clapper in the spring 2021 season. The junior leads Northwestern in tackles-for-loss this season (5.5) and is tied for second in sacks (2.0). His 5.5 tackles-for-loss also rank seventh in the UMAC this season.
Cruver and the Eagles will host Crown at 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 25th.
