ST. PAUL, Minn.- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced their 2024 Scholar Athlete Leadership Award finalists on Wednesday morning.
Caitlyn Pruis (Sioux Falls, S.D./Sioux Falls Christian) of UNW Volleyball was announced as one of the eight finalists for the female award and
Caleb Hoilien (Minneapolis, Minn./Hope Academy) of UNW Men's Basketball is one of the finalists on the men's side.
The male and female UMAC Scholar Athlete Leadership Awards are presented each spring to outstanding senior student-athletes who excel in academics, leadership, and service while being a participant in intercollegiate athletics.
The UMAC's description of the award:
"The UMAC Scholar-Athlete Leadership Award is presented to student-athletes who embody what it means to be an NCAA Division III student-athlete. Through this award, the UMAC recognizes the role athletics plays in developing leaders by rewarding athletes' excellence in the classroom as well as their service to the community."
The two award winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 17
