ST. PAUL, Minn. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches and D3hoops.com announced their district and regional basketball awards respectively on Tuesday and
Kyle Kaemingk (Woodbury, Minn./New Life Academy) of University of Northwestern Men's Basketball was recognized by both organizations . The senior earned NABC First Team All-District honors in District 9 as well as D3hoops Second Team All-Region honors in Region 9.
This past season, the UNW senior scored 454 total points with 19.7 points per game while shooting 44.9 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from three-point range. He also had 147 rebounds for an average of 6.4 per game.
Through the Eagles' final nine games of the season, Kaemingk averaged 26.3 points per game to lead their playoff push. The senior had a dominant outing in the final game of his career against UW-Superior in the UMAC Semifinals, leading all players with 28 points on 50.0 percent (10-for-20) shooting, knocking down 40.0 percent (4-for-10) of his three-point shots, and hauling in nine rebounds.
In addition to these NABC All-District and D3hoops All-Region awards, Kaemingk has earned NCCAA All-Region Team, UMAC Player of the Year, and UMAC First Team All-Conference honors this season.
