MORRIS, Minn.- The University of Northwestern Men's Soccer team is currently vying for the fourth and final spot in the UMAC Postseason Tournament which will take place in two weeks. Every game remaining is important for the Eagles, and on Saturday they finished in a 0-0 tie on the road against Minnesota-Morris.
Despite being unable to find the back of the net, the Eagles were in complete control of the possession from start to finish. In the first half, the Eagles did not allow a Morris shot while they were able to fire ten of their own. However, the first half came and went with the scoreboard still showing a scoreless tie.
In the second half, the Cougars were able to fire a couple of shots but only one of them was on target. The Eagles cranked up the pressure in the final 45 minutes of play and launched 13 shots but still had nothing to show for it.
The contest ended with the Eagles outshooting the Cougars 23-2. UNW had 10 shots on goal and UMM had one. The Eagles had six corner kick opportunities and the Cougars had one. The fouls between the two teams were nearly even with Morris committing nine and Northwestern committing eight.
Kyle Dipzinski (Ionia, Mich./Ionia) played all 90 minutes in goal for the Eagles and picked up a shutout. He only faced one shot on net and made the save.

Grant Janowiec (Andover, Minn./Andover), and
