Hagen Scores Career-High 29 Points to Lead Women’s Basketball to 73-64 Conference Win over North Central

ST. PAUL, Minn. – University of Northwestern Women's Basketball battled North Central University for their third conference contest of the season on Saturday in the Ericksen Center. The Eagles defeated the Rams 73-64 to remain undefeated in the UMAC at 3-0 and overtaking the now 2-1 Rams in the conference standings.

UNW's three-point shooting was key to the victory. The Eagles (33.3 percent) were outshot from the floor by the Rams (36.8 percent), but Northwestern made 11-of-25 shots from beyond the arc for a 44.0 percent clip while North Central made 9-of-30 from long range for 30.0 percent

The Eagles ability to get to the line and make their free throws was another key in the win. UNW made 22-of-26 from the charity strip while NCU had five points on just seven opportunities.

Lexi Hagen (Jordan, Minn./Jordan) led the Eagles with a 29 points in the game, surpassing her previous single-game career high of 23. The sophomore went 8-for-19 from the floor and 5-for-8 from three-point range. She also led UNW with three steals and had six rebounds.
