Volleyball Opens 2021 Aces for Joy Campaign

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of Northwestern volleyball team is thrilled to announce that they are once again running their Aces for Joy campaign this fall. For every ace an Eagle serves during the 2021 season, Aces for Joy participants will donate $1 to the Pals Family Foundation.

The Eagles kicked off the inaugural Aces for Joy campaign at the start of the 2019 volleyball season. That year, the Eagles landed 220 aces, raising $11,400 for the Pals Family Foundation.

The Pals Family Foundation was founded in memory of 2008 Northwestern graduate and volleyball alumna Kathryne Pals. On July 31, 2016, the Pals family were traveling to their final training session in Colorado, prior to their long-term deployment to be global partners with Christ Bible Institute in Nagoya, Japan. They were rear-ended by a semi-truck and Jamison (29), Kathryne (29), Ezra (3), Violet (23 mos.), and Calvin (2 mos.) departed to be with Jesus Christ.

The support raised by Aces for Joy provides grants to those who bring the gospel to unreached and unengaged peoples. Through the clear legacy that Jamison and Kathryne left, the Pals Family Foundation prayerfully and financially supports missionaries across the globe who have the same passion and vision as the Pals.
