ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - The University of Northwestern St. Paul Men's Tennis faced St. Olaf College on Thursday night, with the Eagles falling for the first time all year in a 7-2 final. UNW opened their historic 2021 season with a program record 12-0 undefeated streak.
Stewart Morrell (Elk River, Minn./Homeschool) won a point for the Eagles with a 6-3, 6-0 victory at #3 singles. The freshman improved to a perfect 11-0 in singles competition.
Davis Pfaff (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) earned the other Eagle point on the day, winning his #1 singles match 7-6 (7-1), 6-4. The senior has led the Eagles at the #1 spot this year, and holds an 8-4 record in matches against the opponent's top player.
