Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Eagles Defeat Lumberjills in Double Overtime

ASHLAND, Wisc.- The UNW Women's Soccer team won a dramatic game over Northland scoring in Double Overtime to defeat the Lumberjills 2-1.

Megan Kohrt (Monona, Wis./Homeschool) had a big game for the Eagles, scoring both UNW goals. Her first goal came in the 71st minute when she tied the game 1-1. The game stayed tied all the way into double overtime when Megan Kohrt (Monona, Wis./Homeschool) finally ended it. Senior Emily Currie (Minneapolis, Minn./Home School) sent a great ball into the box that Kohrt headed into the back of the net, and the Eagles won 2-1.

The Eagles defense was tremendous, only allowing one shot all game long. UNW had 21 shots of their own.

The Eagles are back in action against Wisconsin-Superior on Saturday.
