BETTENDORF, IA -- The University of Northwestern women's cross country team traveled to Bettendorf, Iowa to compete in the Saint Ambrose Invitational 5k.
The Eagles finished fourth overall with a total team time of 1:56:32.
Junior runner
Ava DeShazer (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) once again clocks in a personal best finishing with a time of 21:01. This is the second weekend in a row she has come home with a new personal best time.
Cara Smith (Watertown, Wis./Watertown High School) finished second for the Eagles with a time of 21:52.
Gracia Widman (Climbing Hill, Iowa/Woodbury Central) was in the middle of the pack for the Eagles with a time of 23:36 and
Tamara Ehrich (Green Isle, Minn./Sibley East) came in not too far afterwards crossing the line with a time of 23:44.
Megan Nowak (Athens, Wis./Athens), for the second weekend in a row as well, put up another personal best with a time of 26:19. Rounding it out for the Eagles was
Alexis Peiffer (Rubicon, Wis./Home School), who finished with a time of 28:48.
The Eagles will compete next weekend in the Briar Cliff University Invitational in North Sioux City, SD.
