Youngberg recorded his 7th and 8th double-doubles of the season to lead UNW to two conference wins last week. He broke Northwestern's career offensive rebounding record after pulling down seven in the Eagles win over Morris on Wednesday (record was set in 2008). The senior shot an impressive 79% from the field on the week and averaged 20.5 point per game and 12.5 rebounds per game in wins over Morris and North Central. Youngberg leads the UMAC in rebounding this season, averaging 10.9 rebounds per game.
Northwestern will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 23 when they meet up with UW-Superior in midweek conference play. Tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m. against the Yellowjackets who enter the match-up with a perfect 7-0 mark in the UMAC.
