Coming off a three-match win streak – Northwestern faced what appeared to be tougher competition during Thursday morning play. The Eagles grabbed just one win in the dual from
Mafee Rinta (Hudson, Wis./Hudson) – who defeated her opponent at the no. 5 singles spot, 6-2, 7-5.
Nikki Paskewitz (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) dropped a close match at no. 1 singles, falling in a decisive 6-0 set one, before coming back to win 6-2. Paskewtiz suffered an 11-9 tiebreaker loss to end the match.
The Eagles dropped all three doubles matches 8-6.
Northwestern has one dual left in Orlando as they are scheduled to take on Translyvania University on Friday morning at 8 a.m.
