Box Score WHITE BEAR LAKE, MINN. – The University of Northwestern men's tennis team defeated Saint Edgewood College, 8-1 in Saturday night action at Lifetime Fitness tennis courts. The win marks the Eagles second straight (after defeating St. Ambrose in Friday play) and events out their record to 2-2 overall this season.

UNW kicked off the match by securing all three matches in doubles play. Edgewood had just four players compete – resulting in default wins at the no. 3 doubles and five and six singles positions.
Landon Ridpath (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) recorded a dynamic win at the No. 1 spot – dropping the first set 4-6 before snapping back to win set two 6-1 and the third-set tiebreaker, 11-9.
Davis Pfaff (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) and
Austin Bricker (Arroyo Grande, Calif./Arroyo Grand) won in straight sets at No. 2 and 3, respectively.
The Eagles will return to action on Monday, March 11 when they kick off action at the annual spring trip. Northwestern will compete in five matches in Orlando, Fla. from March 11-15.
