Box Score WHITE BEAR LAKE, MINN. – The University of Northwestern women's tennis team defeated Saint Ambrose University (Iowa) tonight at the Lifetime Fitness tennis courts. The win gives the Eagles their first victory on the season, moving them to 1-3 early on in non-conference action. Senior Emily Knight (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge) reached an impressive milestone with her pair of wins on the day. Knight recorded her 100th career (combined) win, a feat only seven players have reached in Northwestern history. She recorded the win in doubles action alongside Nikki Paskewitz (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) with a quick 8-3 victory.

Northwestern kicked off the match by sweeping all three doubles matches, dropping just nine games altogether in the respective matches. The pairing of Gracie LeBrun (Pine City, Minn./Pine City) and Rachel Lukkarila (Becker, Minn./Homeschool) were especially impressive in their victory (8-1) at the third pairing.
UNW then took care of business in quite convincing fashion across singles action, with only one match going the distance to result in an Eagles win.
Senior Nikki Paskewitz (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) and sophomore Mafee Rinta (Hudson, Wis./Hudson) cruised to victory, dropping just two and three games respectively.
