ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of Northwestern football program (0-1) will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 8 after traveling 1,902 miles to Claremont, Calif. to take on Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (0-1) in the teams' second game of the season and first ever meeting. The Stags, who went 4-5 overall in 2017, began their 2018 campaign with a 45-35 loss to Puget Sound last week. 
 
Northwestern took flight early Friday morning to depart for the California contest. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. (Pacific Time) on Saturday, meaning viewers can tune in at 3 p.m. from Minnesota.
