ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of Northwestern (2-4-2, 2-1-0 UMAC) women's soccer team fell to The College of St. Scholastica (3-3-1, 3-0-0 UMAC) with a final score of 0-1.
Strong Eagle defense held a robust squad of Saints. UNW tallied three shots compared to CSS's seven during the first half.
The teams battle to a scoreless game for a large majority of the game. The first goal was from St. Scholastica with only three minutes remaining in the second half. Despite strong offensive efforts, Northwestern was unable to get on the board.
On the defensive end,
Samantha Colombo (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors) tallied 10 saves on the contest.
