OWATONNA, Minn. – The University of Northwestern men's tennis team won its conference opener, 7-2, over Martin Luther College (3-5, 2-1) Tuesday morning. The Eagles better their season mark to 6-9.

UNW distanced itself right out of the gates, building a 3-0 lead after doubles. CJ Lloyd (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View) continued his strong play, cruising to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, while Cameron Fair (Sterling, Kan./Sterling) was a 6-4, 6-0 winner at No. 3 singles.
