ARDEN HILLS, Minn. — The University of Northwestern men's tennis team dropped its match at Bethel University by a score of 9-0 Wednesday. The defeat moves the Eagles to 5-9 on the season.

The Eagles started off the evening with doubles play, taking games in two of the three matches played. The number two doubles team of
Joshua Kimball (Waseca, Minn./Waseca) and
Davis Pfaff (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove ) were very competitive, falling in a very tightly contested match 8-9 (3-10).
Northwestern played multiple close matches throughout singles play, but they were unable to pick up any wins. At the one singles position
CJ Lloyd (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View) very nearly secured a victory, (falling 2-6, 6-3, 7-10) as did
Landon Ridpath (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) at the second position (dropping the match 3-6, 6-4, 1-10). Playing at the fourth position
Cameron Fair (Sterling, Kan./Sterling) also competed very well, coming up short 7-6, 4-6, 6-10.
