BLOOMINGTON, MINN. – The University of Northwestern men's tennis team pulled out their third consecutive victory Saturday afternoon, defeating Wartburg College by a score of 6-3 on Saturday afternoon. The victory moves the Eagles to 3-2 on the season.

Northwestern started the day off with some very tight doubles matches, coming out victorious in two out of the three matches played.
CJ Lloyd (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View) and
Landon Ridpath (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) came away with a tight victory at the one doubles position (9-7), and
Spencer Deveau (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka) and
Davis Pfaff (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove ) also came away with a win at the third doubles position (8-2).
The Eagles were fairly competitive across the board in the singles action later on, taking four of the six matches played. Lloyd (6-4, 6-0) and Ridpath (6-0, 6-1) had very convincing wins at the first and second singles positions, while
Cameron Fair (Sterling, Kan./Sterling) pulled out a tight victory (6-1, 6-7, 1-0 (10-6)) at the fourth singles position.
UNW will head to St. Peter for action at the Gustavus campus one week from today, with matches against Concordia-Moorhead and Gustavus Adolphus. Fans can head to unweagles.com to find more information on the team.
