RIPON, Wis. – The University of Northwestern men's tennis team came away with two victories Saturday, defeating both Simpson College and Ripon College. The wins move the team to 2-2 on the season.

To start off the first contest of the day, the Eagles had some success in doubles action. The Eagles took two of the three matches, as the teams of
Landon Ridpath (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) and
Joshua Kimball (Waseca, Minn./Waseca) and
Cameron Fair (Sterling, Kan./Sterling) and
Davis Pfaff (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove ) were both dominate in their victories.
UNW also found some success in singles play later on, playing competitive matches across the board. The Eagles took home victories in the first through third positions, as
CJ Lloyd (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View), Ridpath, and Kimball were all victorious.

The Eagles got the second match of the day underway with some very hot play, dominating all of the doubles action. The team only dropped three total games in the matches and the one doubles team of Lloyd and Kimball played a perfect match, winning 8-0.
Northwestern continued their dominance in the singles action, sweeping all six matches. Lloyd did not drop a single game at the one position and Kimball and Pfaff each just dropped one game.
