WINONA, Minn. – The University of Northwestern women's tennis team reached the 20-win plateau with a 5-4 win over Saint Mary's University (11-6) Wednesday afternoon.

In doubles play,
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) and
Nikki Edin (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) notched a win at No. 1 doubles, defeating their opponents 8-2. SMU grabbed the other two doubles points to take a 2-1 lead into singles play.
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ),
Nikki Edin (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley), Rachel Lukkarilla and Gracie Lebrun all captured wins in singles action to help the Eagles escape with the win. Moe – who is ranked 20th in the region – earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, while the other
three winners won the tiebreaker.
