ST. PAUL, MINN. – The University of Northwestern women's tennis team improved to 19-4 on the season [7-1 conference] with a pair of unblemished wins over Upper Midwest Athletic Conference [UMAC] competitors Monday. The Eagles swept North Central University, 9-0, and the University of Minnesota-Morris, 9-0.

The purple and gold started hot, as
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) notched two straight-set wins [6-0, 6-0] at No. 1 singles to stay perfect on the season, while the rest of the squad conquered their North Central challengers with untouchable scores [6-0/6-0, 6-0/6-0, 6-1/6-0, 6-0/6-0, 6-0/6-0].
UNW then went on to tally three more victories in doubles play, beating NCU by totals of 8-0, 8-1, and 8-0.

In Northwestern second competition of the day, the Eagles once again controlled the court as all six singles participants grabbed wins over their Morris contenders [6-0/6-0, 6-0/6-0, 6-0/6-0, 6-0/6-0, 6-0/6-1, 6-0/6-0].
The purple and gold then went on to secure three more defeats in doubles [8-0, 8-0, 8-0] over UMM, finishing off the evening with a sweep over the visiting team.
