ST. PAUL – The University of Northwestern women's tennis team (17-4, 5-1 UMAC) picked up a thrilling 5-4 win over the visiting College of St. Scholastica Saints (13-5, 6-1 UMAC) Thursday at the Johnson Tennis Courts.

With her wins in singles and doubles play,
Brooke Lapinski (Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen) broke the 100-win plateau for her career at Northwestern. She won 7-5, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and teamed up with Rachel Lukkarilla at No. 2 doubles to earn an 8-1 victory.
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) remained on her hot streak, notching a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, while
Nikki Edin (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) was a 7-6, 6-1 winner at No. 3 singles. Moe and Edin also won, 8-1, at No. 1 doubles.
