SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The University of Northwestern women's tennis team began their first of four upcoming home games with a 6-3 win this afternoon against the College of Saint Benedict, claiming two out of three doubles matches and finishing with four wins in singles.

Sophomore
Nikki Edin (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) [6-2, 6-2], Freshmen
Rachel Lukkarila (Becker, Minn./Homeschool) [6-2, 6-4], and Freshman
Gracie LeBrun (Pine City, Minn./Pine City ) [6-2, 6-4] all maintained control of their rivals with clear-cut wins across the board in each of their individual matches.
Senior
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South )'s strong performance [6-0, 6-1] added one more win to to the mix, continuing to keep her flawless 17-0 record on the season.
Holding onto a 16-4 record [4-1 UMAC], the lady Eagles will prepare for their next home contest on Thursday, April 13, against the College of St. Scholastica at 3:30 p.m. Four days later, the purple and gold will take on North Central University [1 p.m.] and the University of Minnesota-Morris [3:30 p.m.] on their home court.
