DULUTH, Minn. – The University of Northwestern women's tennis team dropped Saturday's match with foe St. Scholastica, 7-2, inside the Arrowhead Tennis Center. The Eagles fall to 12-3 overall and 1-1 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action on the season, while the Saints move to 11-3 overall and 4-0 in league play.

Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) kept her unbeaten streak alive at No. 1 singles as the senior cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win to get UNW on the board in singles play. It was freshman Rachel Lukkarilla picking up UNW's second point of the day, as she won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 6 singles. Both
Brooke Lapinski (Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen) (No. 3 singles) and
Nikki Edin (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) (No. 5 singles) battled before falling in the tiebreaker. CSS opened the match with a sweep in doubles play to gain an early 3-0 advantage.
