ST. PAUL – Head women's tennis coach
Matt Swigart became the program's all-time winningest coach Saturday, as the University of Northwestern defeated the University of Minnesota-Duluth (6-3) and St. Catherine University (8-1). Swigart now has 75 career wins with the women's tennis program. UNW improves to 3-1 on the season with Saturday's victories.

UNW opened the match by sweeping the doubles competition and then went on to take three of the six singles contests.
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) picked up a 6-3, 6-1 triumph at No. 1 singles, while
Emily Knight (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge) (No. 4 singles) and
Rachel Lukkarila (Becker, Minn./Homeschool) (No. 6 singles) also secured wins.
UNW 8, SCU 1
The Eagles carried their momentum into Saturday's nightcap, as UNW knocked off the Wildcats in convincing fashion.
UNW once again built a 3-0 advantage after doubles play and would go on to take five of the six singles matches to take home the 8-1 victory.
