ST. PAUL – The top-seeded University of Northwestern men's basketball team will welcome Minnesota Morris in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) semifinal game Wednesday night. Tip-off inside the Ericksen Center is set for 7:30 p.m. UMM – the No. 5 seed – upended Northland College Monday night in Ashland, Wis., to advance to Wednesday's semifinal.
The game has been deemed as a Purple Out, so fans attending are encouraged to sport purple to the Ericsken Center. Admission prices can be found

UNW won its fourth regular season title in the last five years last Friday when Northwestern defeated Martin Luther College. The Eagles finished the regular season 18-7 overall and 13-3 in league play. The Cougars – who UNW defeated during both meetings during the regular season – are currently 15-11 on the year after finishing 9-7 in conference action.
The Eagles are led by
Porter Morrell (Elk River, Minn./Home School) who is averaging 15.5 points per game. The senior guard has shot the ball extremely well, hitting 52.7 percent of his shots from the floor and a blistering 46.5 percent from long range. Fellow seniors
Will Gisler (Stewartville, Minn./Stewartville) (14.1 ppg) and
Cody Sprenger (Grey Eagle, Minn./Long Prairie-Grey Eagle) (12.6 ppg) are also hitting double figures on a nightly basis.
