ST. PETER, Minn. – The University of Northwestern women's tennis team moved to 4-2 on the season after the Eagles split their matches Saturday on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus. UNW took down Hamline, 8-1, before coming out on the wrong end of an 8-1 match in the nightcap with GAC.

The Eagles dominated singles play and got a win at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to pick up the convincing win over the Pipers.
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) shined at No. 1 singles and
Nikki Edin (Staples, Minn./Staples-Motley) (No. 4 singles) and Gracie Lebrun (No. 6 singles) made quick work of their opponents.
GAC 8, UNW 1
Karen Moe (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South ) picked up the lone win for the Eagles in Saturday's second match, as the senior secured a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles.
Brooke Lapinski (Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen) battled at No. 2 singles but wasn't able to come over her opponent.
